Our captain

Born in Feás (Cariño) in 1972, Álvaro Carrodeguas is the soul of Queresvela. An experienced skipper and lover of the sea, he has chosen to live on board his sailing boat Sanjola, from where he shares his passion for the Ortegal coast with every crossing. He knows these waters like the back of his hand. Sailing with him is much more than a stroll: it is an invitation to look at the sea with different eyes.

Environment

The coast of Ortegal is one of the most spectacular and wildest landscapes in Galicia. Cliffs that plunge steeply into the Atlantic, unique rock formations such as Os Aguillóns and the imposing Cape Ortegal create a natural scenery that is hard to forget. To sail these waters is to discover an almost virgin coastline, where nature preserves all its strength and beauty. The Ortigueira estuary, calm and protected, completes the experience with its ecological richness and serene calm, perfect to let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of the sea.
