Queresvela? is a different kind of seafaring tourism proposal that invites you to discover the Ortegal coast from the sea. On board the sailing boat Sanjola, you will live an authentic experience, close and respectful with the environment, sailing through unique corners of the Galician high estuaries. Quiet routes, spectacular views and the leisurely pace of sailing to rediscover the Galician coastline like never before.
The captain
Álvaro Carrodeguas, a native of Feás (Cariño), has been linked to the sea all his life. On his sailing boat Sanjola, a Swedish aluminium boat that is also his home, he founded Queresvela, a sailing tourism initiative that offers sailing routes along the spectacular coast of Ortegal. With more than 15 years of experience as a skipper, Álvaro has travelled to emblematic places such as the cliffs of Cape Ortegal, Os Aguillóns and the Ortigueira estuary.
His way of understanding sailing goes beyond the simple journey: he proposes an authentic experience, slow and close to nature. Through its voyages, it aims for each visitor to see the coast with new eyes, enjoying the silence of the sea, corners inaccessible from land and the serene rhythm of sailing. Sustainable tourism, respectful and deeply connected with the environment.
Origin and purpose
Queresvela? was born from the desire to share the sea from a different perspective: slower, closer and deeply connected with the environment.
This proposal arises on the coast of Ortegal as an alternative to conventional tourism, offering sailing routes that allow you to rediscover the Galician coastline with calm, respect and authenticity.
More than a nautical activity, Queresvela? is an invitation to feel the sea from the inside, to let yourself be carried away by the wind and to understand the territory from its true essence.

Our vessel: The Sanjola
The Sanjola is an 8.80 metre sailing yacht, built in aluminium in Sweden. Robust, reliable and prepared for sailing in Atlantic waters, it has become much more than a boat: it is Álvaro’s home and the perfect setting for this experience.
It has space for five passengers and the skipper, and is fitted out to offer comfort on board. Below deck there is cosy space, corners to rest and all the necessary elements to enjoy sailing safely. In addition, its history and character make the Sanjola a living part of the project.
